violence | People are attacked by slimy alien parasites throughout. We see them attached to the back, entering a pulsing tentacle in the victim's body (very little blood). Parasites are sliced open and a lot of yellow goo comes out. A man tears away parasites from his body with a knife. A couple finds four dead bodies with yellow goo coming out of their mouths or eyes. Later on the corpses are shown again, with their faces more rotten and gooey. A girl finds a dead guy with a parasite pulsing on his face. A man shoots an alien in the shoulder and a water-like liquid spills out. A man is shot in the chest (no blood, he is supposed to survive). One explosion in which a man and an alien die. Two men fight briefly and one punches the other. A man shoots at two people, but misses. A man shoots at an alien, but misses. An alien tries to catch and kill a girl. |
profanity | None. |
alcohol | People drink alcohol in a bar. |
frightening | The parasites and the alien's appearance might frighten young children. Both Sarge and Joe Taylor display erratic, mentally ill behavior. Taylor basically commits suicide by getting Sandy to blow both him and the alien up in front of the shack. Sarge's mentioned traumatic experiences as a Vietnam vet might frighten or disturb some viewers. Rated R for violence and terror - Ok for ages 12+ |
