Hollywood Movies | Drama | Crime | Thriller
nudity | No nudity. No sex scenes. |
violence | 4/10 There are several deaths in the movie, the most extreme being a man who is run over several times by a car (largely off screen and no gore is involved) and two men are stabbed (no gore in these scenes either). There is also a scene showing a woman in a sealed bag hidden in a closet who is already dead, presumably by suffocation. |
profanity | 2/10 Two uses of "dammit" |
alcohol | 6/10 There are a couple of scenes where cigarettes are present, but they way they are used is essential to the plot. A doll filled with heroin is also essential to the plot and is shown being stuffed in the opening of the film. |
frightening | 6/10 The ending of the movie is considered one of the most frightening and intense scenes in film history. Though most of the film is intense because the viewer is aware of everything that is happening from the very beginning, an ending like this has rarely been matched. Total: 15/50 Suggested MPAA Rating: rated PG-13 for some violence and moments of menace. |
