nudity | After the three reporters get settled into the Keller's house, one of the reporters takes a bath, showing full frontal nudity. There is talk of a brother impregnating his own sister. There's talk of a father cutting of his son's penis as punishment. (this doesn't happen) A woman talks about being pregnant and having an abortion. |
violence | Some of the deaths are bloody, but not too gory. A woman has her head smashed, twice, against a metal grate. There's blood all over her face, but nothing gory. A man slaps a woman across the face because she's being hysterical. A man kills an unseen "person" in the basement. You can hear them screaming. A man attempts to strangle a woman with his belt. A man punches a woman. A man is hit in the head with a wooden board that has a nail sticking out of it. The board gets stuck to his head. A man gets shot in the chest by a shotgun. You see the bullet enter and exit the body, but there is no gore, and a little blood. |
profanity | I didn't notice much if ANY cursing in this movie at all. |
alcohol | Wine drinking, cigarette and cigar smoking |
frightening | A woman gets attacked in her bedroom by something that we cannot see, and she gets pulled into the air vent. The same woman is seen later, dead, with her head sticking out of the air vent. The brother and sister characters are disturbing people. The sister is mentally unstable, and the brother is psychotic. The overall atmosphere of the whole movie is pretty creepy. A woman finds dead bodies in the basement. |
