An investigator from the War Crimes Commission travels to Connecticut to find an infamous Nazi. Wilson of the War Crimes Commission is seeking Franz Kindler, mastermind of the Holocaust, who has effectively erased his identity. Wilson releases Kindler's former comrade Meinike and follows him to Harper, Connecticut, where he is killed before he can identify Kindler. Now Wilson's only clue is Kindler's fascination with antique clocks; but, though Kindler seems secure in his new identity, he feels his past closing in.

violence All violence is without blood or gore. Konrad swings a gymnastic ring into Wilson's head, knocking him out. Charles strangles Konrad to death. We see Charles place his hands around Konrads throat and squeeze before Konrad is forced off screen and dies. His corpse is then dragged along the ground and buried. Charles is shot in the arm. Charles is accidentally run-through with a sword and we see it sticking out of him for a couple of seconds. He pulls himself off the blade and falls to his death. We see him falling through the air but not hit the ground.
alcohol Wilson smokes a lights and smokes a pipe on multiple occasions. Charles and Mary both light and smoke cigarettes at various points, including in bed. Wine and spirts are drunk by characters.
frightening Wilson shows Mary a real WWII film depicting Nazi Concentration Camps. We see a large pile of naked corpses, an empty gas chamber, an arm holding a club and a haggard, distressed man being put on a stretcher. He pleads about something. Wilson describes to Mary how The candidates were given hot showers so theyre pores would be open and the gas would act that much more quickly. We see group of people outside a building which Wilson says is A lime pit, where hundreds of men, woman and children were buried alive. Mary describes what she sees as Horrors.
