Arthur Brennan treks into Aokigahara, known as The Sea of Trees, a puzzling thick backwoods at the base of Japan's Mount Fuji where individuals go to confer suicide. On his voyage to the suicide backwoods, he experiences Takumi Nakamura, a Japanese man who has lost his way in the wake of endeavoring suicide. The two men start an adventure of reflection and survival, which asserts Arthur's will to live and reconnects him to his affection for his better half.
