violence | Very mild violence. The villain attempts to murder the boy by feeding him to crocodiles, beginning with sadistically lowering him into the water and pulling him out to lure the animals to him. Fortunately, Bernard arrives to stop the murder. A bad character falls into a river with crocodiles. The crocodiles attempt to attack him, but he is able to successfully fend them off. He doesn't notice that the river is flowing towards a waterfall, and when he does it is too late and the character goes over the falls, plummeting to his death. |
frightening | The appearance and personality of McLeach may be unsettling to younger viewers. When Cody is kidnapped by McLeach, it seems that no one will ever be able to help him. However, a mouse Cody freed rushes to a nearby mouse radio transmitter to begin a message relay to alert the Rescue Aid Society of the emergency. The waterfall scene is intense. The bad guy drowns. There are "doctor" scenes with over-sized syrenges (compared to the mice) mixed with physical abuse. It is supposed to be funny, but can be frightening especially for young children. Just watched it again, the mice also imply to use a roaring chainsaw as a "medical tool". But fortunatly the albatross manage to escape before the chainsaw gets used. BBFC - (U): mild threat. |
