nudity | Laura Linney is seen in a still photo a few times lying on a bed with her breasts showing. Laura Linney is seen nude lying on top of her husband, just her bare back and the top of her butt is seen. This is shown at two different points of the movie. Laura Linney is seen lying in bed with her lover and as she rolls over to face him, her left breast is briefly seen. Antonio Banderas is pictured in a still photo nude, as he's holding a towel covering his private parts. This is seen several times throughout the movie. A couple scenes where couples (including one infidelity situation) kiss tenderly and passionately, sometimes in bed. Nothing else is shown. No actual sex scenes. The basic plot is about Laura Linney's character cheating on her husband, as seen in still photos and flashbacks. |
violence | A man tells several people he is going to kill another man on several different occasions. Discussion of buying a gun. A man stalks another man and shows up at his apartment, pretending to be a friend. He then picks up a hammer when the other man's back is turned. He walks slowly and ominously, obviously planning to kill the man. He decides not to go through with it. Several heated discussions. The entire film revolves around a wife's infidelity and her husband's desire to track down and exact revenge on the other man in her life. Lots of tension throughout. |

frightening | There is tension throughout, as the film revolves around a man tracking down his wife's lover. The man threatens to kill him at several points in the film. Laura Linney's character dies of cancer. She is last seen lying in bed, eyes closed but mouth open struggling to breathe. She does one last shallow wheeze and is still. Her husband and daughter are beside her holding her hands and begin to weep as they realize she has passed. This scene is extremely realistic and might be hard to watch for some viewers. |
