nudity | 7/10 A scene in the beginning shows several older female witches removing their clothes for a satanic ceremony, bare breasts are shown Several bare breasts are shown, as well as some brief full frontal female nudity A frightening scene at the end of the movie shows three faceless priests, all masturbating their erect penises. The penises are coloured and are clearly rubber dildos. Some people could consider this scene pornographic. A woman, getting ready to take a shower is shown naked from the side, breasts are visible A Woman's bare butt is shown in the beginning of the movie as well as a very brief glimpse at her breasts A woman dances suggestively with a man, while the male licks the woman's face A scene at the end shows many bare breasts of woman kneeling on each others backs, no frontal nudity Many scenes with a naked, old witch, you only see her exposed breasts 2 or 3 times A woman presumably performs oral sex on a man, nothing is shown 1 or 2 sexual references |
violence | 9/10 The film is extremely disturbing but not as violent as other films of Rob Zombie A scene involving three "doctors" who are demons involve them taking a woman and yanking out scissors and pulling some guts out of the woman's stomach and blood is shown on the scissors and sheet. Very disturbing however we realize it was a dream sequence. A pile of dead naked woman are shown however there are no wounds but it is still creepy. A priest orally rapes a woman by forcing her to perform oral sex on him. We see him shove her head to his groin area and her head is shown bobbing up and down. He starts saying creepy things and turns grayish and throws up some blood. However we find out it is a dream sequence. a pregnant witch has her stomach sliced open to take out a baby. Not as graphic as it sounds but still creepy. Only some blood is shown on the knife. A scene at the end that plays out like a music video is extremely anti-religious with words and actions. A extremely disturbing scene involves the aftermath of a baby that was cut up, stitched back, and burned alive. It is shown hanging from a cross. A groutesque skeleton is also shown which may resemble the burned body of a witch. The whole scene is rather extremely creepy and violent. A man is beaten to death with a frying pan somewhat graphic, however we only see some blood pour out of his head. Than he is bashed some more and blood sprays on the woman killing him, you hear banging, screaming and squishing. Soon after his head is wrapped in a white sheet and it is shown splattered and covered in blood. A baby is birthed and then spat upon by witches. Very upsetting. The participants are later burned to death by a priest and two men, somewhat graphic. Their lead is put in a torture chair and has nails driven into her hands. Some blood. A woman is shown standing atop of a whole bunch of dead, naked bodies of the Salem woman. Her eyes are shown rolling back. Extremely creepy and disturbing The whole ending sequence is extremely disturbing. Lots of anti-religious imagery and creepy acts including the body of a burned baby. Very upsetting and disturbing. |
profanity | 5/10 Some uses of shit, fuck, whores. As well as two uses of cunt. |
alcohol | 5/10 A trio of radio DJs do shots of tequila. Cigarettes are smoked throughout the movie. 4 women drink white wine together. A man and women are eating pancakes have been drinking beer while eating. A woman smokes a marijuana cigarette in a bath tub. A man drinks a glass of wine. The main character is an ex heroin addict. She relapses and smokes some off a piece of tin foil. A women takes a handful of anti-anxiety pills most likely Benzodiazepines. |
frightening | 8/10 It is frightening but not as intense as usual Rob Zombie's movies VERY frightening scenes A scene where a priest turns into a demon and starts to puke blood is very intense The last 15 minutes of the movie are all in a psychedelic trance, with disturbing imagery A baby is born and then spat upon by the witches in a flashback, who are damning it. Very disturbing. A demonic creature lures a woman into a building, some may find the creature scary Faceless priests are shown masturbating. This whole movie has to do with witchcraft, something that can be very disturbing to some A couple of jump scares having to do with someone being in a woman's house. A music video is shown with very anti-religious imagery and lyrics, a man then talks about the video saying very anti-religious things The graphic violence, sexuality/masturbation scene, nudity, and terror/frightening scenes make this film appropraite only for those 17 years and older. The film should have been given an NC-17 rating. Most parents would find this film only suitable for those over the age of 17. |
