nudity | A woman runs down to the lobby in panic and is seen in skimpy panties with a long shirt, she covers herself when she sees a mother and her son. We see a man wearing a t-shirt and underwear when going to get his trousers. A young woman views a man's web browsing history on a computer and sees sites which include the names 'Butt Crumpets, Jolly Jumping Pussies, Jerky Blasterz and The Titpunch'. An elderly man's ghost chases a woman, we briefly see his nude body including chest and a quick flash of public hair. |
violence | The ghosts/spirits have gruesome appearances, with pale skin, whited-out eyes, and blood covering their faces. Viewers see bloody bodies, scary ghosts, and frightening attacks. A woman is sometimes shown in peril. A woman tells a little boy about the woman haunting the hotel saying that she killed her when her husband stood her up and the workers hid her body in the basement. A ghost/spirit is also shown hanging by a noose in one scene. A woman enters a man's room, she finds a suicide note and discovers his body in the bathtub, his wrists slashed with Madeline's apparition hanging from a rope. A woman falls down a flight of stairs and gets a deep bleeding cut in their forehead. Overall the violence is neither consistant nor is it shown (for the most part the falling down the stairs being the only exception), however, the aftermath of said violence is very realistic, disturbing and with a realistic amount of blood. |
profanity | Language is relatively infrequent but does include 5 uses of F**k and 3 uses of S**t, A** and D**n. Name calling (bitch and asshole.) |
alcohol | A woman asks another if there is any vodka left, the woman goes her dresser and searches several glasses until she finds one and gives to the other woman who then drinks a bit of it. A man and a woman decide to get drunk on beer, we see empty beer cans lying around as they act tipsy. |
frightening | The plot of the film is employees of an old hotel are trying to find the ghosts that haunt it, so you can expect for it to be frightening, although the movie is not carried in a particularly serious way. A man tells a woman he found something, she puts on the headphones and watches a video and then the camera zooms in and a face jumps out at the screen implying it was a prank, but it could still frighten some. When a woman is looking out a window she is startled by a man who suddenly appears behind her and talks, this is quite sudden. A young woman wakes up in bed and discovers a figure beneath her sheet rising up beside her and who is subsequently revealed as a supernatural entity with a bloodstained mouth. |
