| nudity | Five of the characters are involved one way or another in prostitution, but particular incidents are mentioned only in the briefest possible manner. |
| violence | Most of the violent incidents occur before the film and are simply reported. Threats are made using a knife, a broken bottle, and a gun. A fight between two men breaks out, but it is broken up almost immediately. |
| profanity | There is significant use of coarse language (hell, damn, bastard, bejeezus, etc.) throughout the film, but it roles off the characters' tongues so naturally that one barely notices.
