nudity | Sex is implied at two points in the movie, and two characters (Jake and Emily) casually talk about sex often, but the actual word is not used often, if at all. No nudity, other than Jake shirtless. |
violence | In the beginning, a man suffers severe head trauma. One-half of his face is completely bloody. There are several flashbacks throughout the rest of the movie showing this man with the bloody face. Somewhat graphic. A new recruit, William Hodges, breaks an officer's nose, causing it to bleed. There are two bar fight scenes. The first involves more people and lasts longer - the second is less severe, but still present. Some blood is shown, at least one man is knocked unconscious. |
profanity | Uses of Damn, Hell, Ass, and Shit. "Fuckin" is used at least once, in passing, saying "I could go for a f-in drink." Jesus, goddamn, Jesus Chr*st |
alcohol | Many of the scenes take place in various bars, and show people drinking. |
frightening | The whole jist of this movie is intense Several intense rescue scenes. Near the beginning, there is a crash scene, involving human casualties (one is a young boy, roughly 16 years old). An emotional ending with the death of a main character may upset viewers. This movie is rated PG-13: for some intense sequences of violence and action, some strong language, brief drug material, some drinking, and sensuality. |
