A paralyzed man talks a 5-year-old girl into stealing morphine from the depository for him. At another time, he convinces her to break into a fellow patient's cabinet to steal the medication that is in there. Later, he swallows handfuls of pills in front of her in an attempt to kill himself. Later, regrets taking the pills, as the little girl convinces him that he should live. The overall theme of the movie is anti-suicide.
A man drinks what looks to be a bottle of whisky as he tells the end of the story to a young girl
Both drugs and alcohol use are depicted; drug use is much more directly spoken against than drinking. |

There are some ugly and scary looking creatures but they don't have that much screen time. Older kids should be able to handle it.
