nudity | 7/10 There is a scene where a naked woman is walking through a locker room, her breasts are visible in one shot but in the shadows. Some kissing and sexual references. |
violence | 8/10 A woman is shot in her forehead with a revolver. When she hits the floor, a large puddle of blood spreads throughout. A woman is decapitated as a result of a car crash. Her head (which sprouts tentacles) begins to move in order to find her body again. A man stabs a pencil through a woman's palm. We see him drive the pencil clear through her hand and then yank it back out again. A man has his cheek scratched by a pair of car keys. A man has a glass container broken over his head and is then shoved into a bunch of shelves. Later, we see a bleeding wound on the side of his head. A woman is stabbed multiple times in the chest and vagina with a pair of scissors. (Resulting in a brutal death). Blood is visible on her face, head, and chest. A sick, elderly woman begs a young man for help. She has strange lesions on her skin and looks very ill. The young man hugs the woman and a piece of her scalp falls off in his hand. He throws the bloody heap onto the floor. An exposed, bloody patch is seen on the side of the woman's head. A man holds a woman down and implants an alien parasite in her ear with his mouth. Some blood splashes across her face. A dead woman's body falls on top of a teenage girl while she is hiding in a closet. An alien specimen in an aquarium bites a man's finger through his glove. Blood drips from his finger. A man has all four fingers of one hand cut off when a young man attacks him with a machete-like paper slicer. A man is stabbed in the eye with a pen. The drug inside the pen causes him to convulse as white foam oozes from his eye. A teenage girl is tripped by a giant tentacle at a poolside. She is closed lined by it and smashes her head against the tile siding. Blood seeps out of her mouth and into the water as she is dragged unconscious into the pool. A teenage boy is bullied by a group of other teenage boys. They grab his legs and smash his crotch against a flagpole. A woman who was shot in the forehead (and seemingly killed) suddenly stands and walks toward a group of teenagers. Her eyes roll back and several parasites crawl out of the bullet wound in her head. A girl empties a container of a powdered drug into the woman's face, which causes her to violently convulse and scream until her body liquefies. |
profanity | 8/10 62 uses of f--k, 1 use of pu--y, and 42 uses of sh-t. |
alcohol | 7/10 Snorting substances, smoking One of the main points in the film is that one of the characters sells "magic dust" in pen casings (the plastic part with the ink part removed) and the "magic dust" is one of the ways to kill the aliens. All of the main characters are forced into taking the drug at one point in the movie to prove that they are not actually aliens. There are also instances of the pen casings being shoved into alien's eyes and other parts of their bodies. |
frightening | In the final fight scenes in the locker room and pool area, there are a couple of jump scare scenes. Plus the "queen" alien is in alien form at partial times, which might be frightening to some people. The opening chase scene in which Principal Drake is menaced by the Coach and then unexpectedly killed by Mrs. Olsen is intense and suspenseful. The scene where Miss Burke's decapitated head sprouts tentacles and crawls toward her body is creepy, though there is a comedic line spoken during the scene. The moment when an infected Principal Drake rises after being shot dead is frightening. As is her body liquefying into a puddle of goo shortly afterward. A teenage girl is tripped by a giant tentacle at a poolside. She is closed lined by it and smashes her head against the tile siding. Blood seeps out of her mouth and into the water as she is dragged unconscious into the pool. |
