nudity | Sex & Nudity:4/10 You see a naked man covering his crotch with his hand. We see a naked boy's naked butt very briefly as the light is suddenly switched on. There is talk of using condoms and lots of jokes about sex. A man sticks a photo of a topless woman on a window and jokes that it is a person's mum. |
violence | Violence & Gore: 1/10 People hit their heads and bump into things when the boat is sinking. Not graphic, no blood is shown. |
profanity | Profanity: 7/10 Many swear words used. F*** is used repeatedly. |
alcohol | Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: 7/10 People constantly smoke through the whole film. There is a lot of drinking (you see bottles lying around everywhere and people drunk). There's a few conversations about taking and smoking drugs. |
frightening | Frightening/Intense Scenes: 4/10 At the end of the film, the boat sinks and is flooded with water. People are thrown around a lot as it sinks. This scene is very intense, but there is no blood or gore. Final Rating: 25/50 An idea of how accurate the TECE (below) is: 5-10 is a little-kid suitable, G-Rated type of film (e.g., Care Bears, Sleeping Beauty); 10-15 is going to be a little harsher, but not by much (e.g., The Incredibles); 15-20 could be pretty high up there (e.g., Indiana Jones), 20-25 is going to pretty darn adult (e.g., The Dark Knight); 25-30 is going to be a film most likely not suitable for anyone under 17 (e.g., Shooter); 30-40 is going to be an absolutely, positively adults-only film (e.g., Saving Private Ryan), and 40-50 is going to be hard R to NC-17 (e.g., Cannibal Holocaust). Rated R for: Adult Content, Brief Nudity, Graphic Language, Mild Violence.(HBO advisory) |
