nudity | 6/10 A man and woman have a sword fight cutting each other's clothes off piece by piece, until they are both just wearing skimpy underwear. A humanoid female robot has her clothes ripped off and her breasts are fully exposed. In another episode stylized male and female nudes embrace. Many humans are seen naked briefly as the machines experiment on them. |
violence | 9/10 Some of the episodes are extremely violent, and are certainly above a PG-13 rating. A man is stabbed with a katana, and we briefly see blood gushing out. A man is ripped apart by machines; we only see it for a second but his arms and legs are removed and blood spurts. A man's head is crushed by a robot and we see a lot of gore and brains. A man is shot, and we see some blood on him. A teen apparently jumps to his death, though we do not graphically see this. A humanoid female robot is beaten and humiliated; her breasts are exposed and she is beaten by laughing soldiers. Some dead bodies are seen with blood. When machines are experimenting on humans, some of them are ripped apart and it is pretty gory. Other moderate violence throughout. |
profanity | Fairly infrequent, mild language. A few uses of "damn" and "hell", and one "bitch". The content advisory on the DVD says "one use of strong language", though I cannot think what or where this is in the film. |
alcohol | In one film, a man smokes what could be cannabis. A detective is seen smoking in detail. There is a scene at a bar where people drink. |
frightening | The segment The Second Renaissance has a very creepy tone to it, and is quite disturbing at some parts. Most of that which is listed in the violence section falls under this category, also. Suggested MPAA: Rated R for Violence and Brief Nudity |
