nudity | 3/10 Morticia and Gomez kiss 3 times in the movie. In one scene, Morticia and Gomez are seen kissing (neck, cheeks, hands, arms, ect) in public. They become so passionate that it is implied they reached orgasm. The camera cuts away before anything is shown. You can however hear their cries of ecstacy. This scene is very short though. A married character falls in love with somebody other than the spouse. |
violence | 6/10 Some dark humor. A girl runs after her brother with an axe. A boy is strapped to an electric chair, though nothing is shown. Some torture devices are displayed. Towards the end, there is a very graphic scene which shows Pugsley and Wednesday in a school play, battling it out with swords. Later it is revealed that the swords are real, and blood spews from wounds as Pugsley and Wednesday hack off each other's fake limbs from the costumes. |
profanity | 2/10 Five "damn's", at least. |
alcohol | 4/10 Gomez smokes cigars throughout the movie. |
frightening | 5/10 The whole final scene of the movie is intense. The creepy and morbid nature of the family may frighten young children. The crawling hand, although no blood is shown, may be disturbing for young viewers. Several creepy sights from their house and graveyard. Total: 20/50 Suggested Mpaa Rating: RATED PG-13 FOR LANGUAGE, SMOKING, SENSUALITY AND SOME BLOODY COMIC VIOLENCE. |
