Hollywood Movies | Drama | Thriller | Mystery
nudity | NOt Rated but would probably be: PG-Mild Disturbing Content and Some Innuendo Some sexual innuendo in the dialog (which would probably go unnoticed by most children and teenagers). Some very decent visual erotic symbolism (consistent with the Freudian theme of the film). Several kisses. A verbal reference to a woman "with hardly anything on". (The subsequent picturization of this shows a woman in a kind of bikini top and a skirt from far away; not sensual by today's standards.) |
violence | A man is shot during skiing. (shown from far away and in stylized fashion) A man threatens a woman with a pistol. In the end, he turns the pistol against himself. (A shot is heard, nothing is seen.) |
alcohol | Pervasive smoking and some social drinking, consistent with the films of the period. |
frightening | Several intense and suspenseful scenes. A man is shown descending the stairs, it is implied that he may be mad and may want to kill someone. A man threatens a woman with a pistol. She is trying to 'disarm' him by talking to him. The behavior of one character is unpredictable, it is implied that he may become violent. |
