All scenes involving murder (accidental or not) are pretty intense. They are not played down in any way, they are brutal, realistic, gruesome (when appropriate) and ugly. At least two are sudden and shocking. Though the film has strong elements of black comedy, the deaths themselves are not played for laughs and many viewers will probably find them at least slightly disturbing, others may find them not only disturbing but upsetting.
Also, viewers who are upset over scenes of animal violence will probably find the scene where a woman has a flashback of her dog impaling itself on a knitting needle hard to watch.
