Felix Farmer (Richard Mulligan) latest movie flops - and lots of Hollywood types spring into action. Agents are called. Lawyers are retained. Statements are issued. It's what a master comedy director Blake Edwards calls "Standard Operating Bull," the subject of his gleefully satiric S.O.B.
nudity | Sally Miles (Julie Andrews) rips off the breastplate of her dress revealing her breasts for several seconds. A couple is apparently having sex, the woman's bare breasts are shown (very brief and incidental), and the man is seen wearing S&M gear. The movie is about a movie-within-a-movie that is an erotic comedy, so there is a lot of sexual content though not sex itself. |
violence | A dead body is the subject of much comic, but not untasteful, business. A man is shot, in graphic detail (blood is shown). |
profanity | Mild profanity. |
alcohol | Casual smoking and drinking. Overuse of prescription drugs by movie people. |
frightening | None, but much of the comedy is, if not "adult," then more understandable by grownups. |
