| nudity | This is a great coming of age story. We'd andersons movies are usually rated R but don't really need to be. This movies "nudity" is just a few posters in a room and the language isn't bad at all Shirtless high schools boys for a second or two. A boy's is attracted to a teacher. Posters of topless women can be seen briefly towards the end. The teacher does not always wear a bra inside her sweater. Nothing can be seen except the shape makes it obvious. |
| violence | A boy is punched in the face a few times. Lots of simulated explosions and gunfire during a play. A boy pretends to be hit by a car by putting fake blood on his temple. Several boys are on the wrestling team and are slammed on the ground a couple times. A group of about 5-6 boys throw rocks at an older boy. A boy shoots another boy in the ear with a BB gun--we see blood. |
| profanity | 4 F words, some S-words, milder profanities and a couple racial slurs. A couple Jesus expressions, several using God, including a couple combined with damn. A couple sarcastic uses of prick. |
