nudity | In one instance, a scene in the film features a video wall showing a woman dancing with her bare breasts clearly visible. In another scene of a concert performance, the video wall features abstract drawings of animated depictions of bare-breasts and male genitalia. Other mildly suggestive images are shown throughout, mostly animated. There is no actual sex/sexual activity; anything of the sort is merely suggested. |
violence | Some disturbing violent images on the video screens, mostly animated. Waters discusses his father and grandfather being killed in wars, at times in detail. This is mostly verbal, however. |
profanity | Several curse words are used in lyrics, in Waters' speech, and do appear in writing on the video screens. |
alcohol | Waters is shown drinking in a bar in one scene and continues to do so after saying he would stop, mourning the passing of his family members in a war. |
frightening | Some of the images on the video screens are frightening and intense at times, with a disturbing animation style, but not overly so. The majority of it is animated. Roger Waters The Wall is a concert-cum-documentary about the English rock musician Roger waters. It is a road movie of Waters reckoning with the past and as a stirring anti-war event. The film includes concert footage from Waters three-year solo tour as well as behind-the-scenes footage from France and Italy of Waters visiting the World War I cemetery where his grandfather is buried, and the beachhead where his father died during a World War II battle. Due to the portrayal of some nudity in the film, it is recommended for persons aged 16 and above. |
