nudity | Suggested MPAA description: Rated 'R' for Violence, Language, and Some Sexuality Brief nudity on the part of Jack Nicholson. Sex is talked about in a few scenes. Implied sex in one scene, we faintly here two people groaning, but this only lasts a few seconds. |
violence | The two main characters are hitman/woman. A hitman takes a man into a garage, we hear two gunshots, implying that the hitman killed him. A man is shot in the back of his head. This is seen from a distance though so it is not explicit. Two bodyguards start to punch Jack Nicholson's character. He pulls out his gun and shoots them both, blood is seen coming out of their wounds. A female civilian is accidentally shot and killed by a woman A woman shoots at a man in bed, but misses and hits a pillow. A person is impaled by a knife in the throat and we see the aftermath with blood running from the blade. |
profanity | 6 "f" words, one use of "bullshit", goddamn, "for Christ's sake" |
alcohol | There are many events in the movie with people drinking alcohol and smoking cigars, some cigarettes, but the leading characters (Nicholson, Turner, Huston) don't. They just sometimes have a drink. There's no use of drugs. |
frightening | The shootings are violent in a way, but not over the top. |
