violence Lot's of slapstick. Stan and Ollie prepare a lovely tray of sandwiches, which gets dropped when the swinging kitchen door hits Stan, causing him to lunge forward into Ollie, which makes him drop the tray. Stan and Ollie then throw food at each other. Stan accidentally hits Ollie with the tray, and then Ollie purposely returns the favor. The dog attacks Uncle Edgar's gouted foot. The car door is shut on Uncle Edgar's foot. Ollie angrily throws the jack through the neighbor's window. The neighbor retaliates by throwing it through S&O's car windshield. This escalates into a destruction of property, which is instantly ceased when the family runs inside the house to hide from a passing parson. Ollie briefly strangles Stan. Uncle Edgar experiences many mishaps with his wounded foot, the worst of all being when the jack gives out and the car falls onto it. As Ollie tries to crank the car, Stan blares the horn in his face. Then when he pulls a lever, the engine backfires, sending Ollie out into the street where he's nearly run over by another car. Stan literally throws out the clutch, which Ollie then hits him on the head with. Ollie is sprayed in the face by a hose. Ollie strangles Stan again, only for him to turn around and strangle Ollie, who then shoves him against the car. The whole family drives into a huge puddle of water and sinks.
profanity One use of the word $hit.
frightening Those who have or have had gout will undoubtedly wince each time Uncle Edgar gets something dropped on his foot.
