Soon after a one-night stand, a woman learns that she is pregnant and discusses the issue with her female roommate before deciding to have an abortion; she is briefly sad over this decision, but goes through with it, and the roommate says that she had an abortion and thinks sadly of it from time to time, but does not regret it.
A woman's mother says that she had an illegal abortion in the 1960s and does not regret it.

Several scenes feature a club in which many men and women drink glasses of whiskey and mixed drinks as well as bottles of beer and glasses of wine while we see a long shelf of many liquor bottles with some wine bottles and beer taps.
Alcohol is present in other scenes as well, but it is not abused. |
