Alton Meyer is a kid not at all like whatever other on the planet with oddly capable capacities and peculiar shortcomings. Amidst the night, his dad, Roy, spirits him far from the secluded religion that basically adores him and is resolved to recapture him no matter what. In the meantime, Alton's capacities have been seen by the US government too and they are similarly relentless on getting to the base of this puzzle with Paul Sevier of the National Security Agency driving the Federal interest with his own particular inquiries. These opponent chases power father and child into a urgent run towards an approaching date with predetermination that could change everything.

violence | The film contains a few scenes of violence involving gunfire exchanges where no details of injury are depicted. For example, in one scene, two men leaving a motel room get shot and injured before they are tied up. Their attackers then fire a few shots at the motel room before entering it. Another scene briefly depicts a police officer getting shot, but without any details or bloodletting. A child suffers from the use and intensity of his powers (he emits cries of pain; others talk of him growing weaker and their fear of him dying; in one scene we see him gasping for air; at one point his ears and nose bleed; one time he bends over, possibly trying to breath or throwing up (the scene is dark).
