Animals run inside a huge police assault vehicle and they are chased by the police: we see scooters run off a bridge without hurting riders and several parked cars are overturned, the police vehicle sails off a road landing on top of a hotel roof and leaving a parked car in the street bursting into flame (no one is harmed), and an airplane fires bananas at a woman, who chases the police vehicle (she dodges and is unharmed); the animals climb a rope to the plane, the woman grabs one of their feet, lets go and somersaults through building windows, reconnects with the animal foot and is finally dumped into a rooftop swimming pool unharmed.
A bear beats up a police officer, but we see no injury.
A large plane crashes and many police cars with sirens and flashing lights chase the animal passengers (they are uninjured and jump onto a train).

In the opening scenes, Alex is having a bad dream in which he sees all of his friends as very elderly. It is shown in harsh black and white and very in-your-face 3D, and the way the characters look may be frightening to young children. It lasts less than two minutes.
The cop chase in Monte Carlo might be intense for some much younger viewers, but is mostly played for laughs.
In a scene, where King Julien, Maurice and Mort are in a dark scary train car with scratches on the walls, a pair of glowing red eyes approaches them, although it turns out to be a relatively friendly bear.
Toward the end of the film, Captain Dublois hides a gun with a lethal poisoned dart in a foam finger and points it at Alex, who is trapped in his enclosure in the zoo. She fires the gun, but Gia comes and saves Alex at the last second.
