An apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and almost everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There's Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa, a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland .
nudity | Several young "wives" are seen as sex symbols, wearing skimpy clothing and shown washing. A naked woman is used as bait; her bottom is shown. Several wet nurses are shown having their breasts pumped for milk; they're covered by machinery. A lady from a far off tribe disrobes in despair Could be viewed as violence or sexual There is a scene where a woman is killed and they say but dont show cutting the woman open to find out the sex of the dead baby |
violence | 8/10 Though actual gore is kept to a minimum, there are frequent scenes of violence and very long vehicular chase scenes. These include scenes where people fight, are shot and stabbed, or run over by vehicles. However, injury detail is limited, but a few scenes do show bloody violence. Many people are shot or exploded, but it cuts before a lot of blood is seen |
profanity | 1 barely understandable use of the 'f' word, but it is covered up by car sounds. Bollocks and schlanger are used. Basically none. |
alcohol | Several of the mechanics/war boys spray their faces with spray paint and you can see they are affected by this like a drug. Similar to huffing. |
frightening | The film features numerous intense, crazy car chases that host scarred, disfigured, and unnatural individuals. The dark, twisted themes of survival, preservation, and violence are lightened by the presence of slight comic relief and over-the-top action. The movie is half action and half thriller, most of the villains look disfigured and therefore creepy. The film is very intense because it is basically one long car chase and will keep its viewers on the edge of their seats. |
