nudity | The opening titles come on over a sequence of a sperm and egg uniting to create puppies. A young single woman attempts to seduce John Travolta's married character throughout the film. She wears low-cut, short dresses/skirts and flirts with him. A bare-chested man with a towel around his waist is shown on a TV screen while a child is watching a scary movie. A 5-year-old child uses the word "transsexual" while telling a knock-knock joke. The main married couple in the film are very romantic and touchy-feely with each other. They are often seen kissing passionately, and early in the film, we see them getting ready to have sex. They are fully clothed, though, and we don't see anything, but we do hear them saying "Oh, James" and "Oh, Mollie" to each other. |
violence | A dog urinates all over a woman's shoe while she is wearing it. Rocks is almost destroyed at a dog pound before being adopted by the Ubriacco family. A dog fights with several wolves. He is seen limping, and there is a little blood shown, but he ends up being just fine. An angry woman throws a vase at a man, but it ends up smashing against the door instead. A young boy and dog are seen watching a scary movie. On the television we see a man walking to a kitchen cabinet when a snarling blood-soaked cat jumps out at him. |
profanity | Some PG-13 language, including shit, damn it, and bitch. |
alcohol | Some adult characters are seen drinking champagne casually, mostly at dinner. A man starts to tell his young daughter a story about two guys walking into a bar, but his wife stops him. |
frightening | A 5-year-old child climbs up on a high shelf in her living room and attempts to fly. Her mother barely manages to catch her before she falls to the ground. A woman is nearly attacked by a wolf in the woods at night but is saved by her dog. Later this same wolf, now with additional wolves, attacks her husband who is saved by the same dog. A puppy is taken in by a rough-around-the edges motorcyclist and his equally rough teenage son. The dad tells him not to let the same thing happen to the dog that happened to his gerbils, although nothing more is said after that. The puppy escapes from them. A young boy is seen watching a scary movie (The Kiss) where a man opens a cabinet and is snarled at by a demonic bloody-mouthed cat |
