nudity | Julie is shown from behind being carried by her husband in her bra & tight shorts. There are several make-out scenes implying a prelude to (marital) sex, with kissing and fondling (but no nudity). In one, a woman yanks off her husband's suspenders and falls on the bed under him. Julia Child and her husband take a Valentine photo of themselves in the bath together. Nothing is shown but her upper chest. One woman tells another about a mutual "frienemy" of theirs who blogs about having sex "in the air" (on a plane) with her rich boyfriend. |
violence | In one scene, it shows the classic "Saturday Night Live" sketch where Dan Aykroyd plays Julia and cuts her finger. A lot of fake blood -- played for laughs. |
profanity | The "f-word" is used once. There are also multiple blasphemies. A lead character says the food she is handling is "as hot as a stiff c--k." Otherwise some language throughout the movie, such as "d--k", "a**hole" and "sh**". |
alcohol | Several smoking and drinking (most of the time wine) scenes. |
frightening | There is one intense argument that a character has with her husband. |
