| nudity | A nude woman is scene for a little while through a window, from the waist up. Her nipples are covered by one of the beams going across the window. A man describes how he was arrested after watching a woman disrobe. A woman describes how she had sex with a man in a cemetery and he was charged for rape; not explicit. |
| violence | The movie centers around a murder. We see the man lying on the street with blood on his head; we hear that his skull was bashed in. There is a little blood around the nostrils and lividity in the ankle of the body. The corpse is seen for a long period of time as it is examined. A small patch of blood is seen on a car seat. Two men slap each other. A car chase is shown, and one car bumps into the back of the other several times. However, there is no damage to the people, or really even the cars. A man is then chased into a depot where he is threatened with chains, a shovel, and a crowbar. He picks up a long metal pole to defend himself; the men clash weapons but never actually hit each other. Then a police officer walks in; he slaps one man and slugs another in the stomach with his fist. A man is shot at night - two shots to the chest at close range. Fairly brief with no blood. |

However, Tibbs is able to provide the evidence of the murderer's actions and they turn on the murderer. One person is killed by a gunshot, another wounded. |
