nudity | 2/10 Matt jokingly humps Lance's leg. T.C. looks at a hole where a doorknob should be and says it's a glory hole. Sasha unstraps her bra and we see the word "Hello" carved into her back. |
violence | 10/10 There is a pervasive sense of physical and psychological threat throughout the film. The main theme of the movie is that the hospital is evil, making its victims either go completely insane or get trapped forever. A severed tongue is seen on the floor. Photos of patients whose ribs and brains have been exposed by surgery and/or experimentation are shown, in really graphic detail. This can easily make you sick. T.C gets pushed down the stairs while searching for Matt. Lance completely loses his mind and starts killing and eating rats. Might be extremely graphic and creepy to some viewers. Houston is held in the air, whilst being strangled by an unseen force, he is then thrown down a hallway. T.C is grabbed by a demon in a bath full of blood, the bath gets tipped over and blood is shown all over a wall and on the camera Demonic surgeons are seen performing a brief operation. Pictures are shown of mental asylum patients after having operations performed. Sasha has the word "Hello" carved into her back, although we do not see this happening. While Lance and Sasha try to hold off a tongueless demon, a completely-insane Matt commits suicide by jumping down an elevator shaft; we see the body afterwards covered in blood. Lance and Houston talk about a girl slitting her wrists in one the bathtubs. |
profanity | 10/10 REALLY profane. The word "fuck" is used almost 300 times in the movie, while "shit" is used over 150 times. There's almost non-stop cursing throughout the entire movie. |
alcohol | 1/10 A character is seen frequently smoking. |
frightening | 10/10 From about 30 minutes into the film, the atmosphere is very dark, scary, intense and claustrophobic The main theme of the film is the hospital is evil and demonic, making it impossible to escape, such as exits leading to more hallways, doors leading to walls, and the sun never coming up and tunnels that go on forever in both ways, meaning that anyone who comes in either goes insane or is trapped forever, which is very unsettling Near the ending of the movie, Lance's all alone trying to find a way out of the hospital through the underground tunnels. Once his flashlight dies out, he loses his mind completely and starts to kill and eat rats, while laughing hysterically, yelling at the demons and blaming the audience for what he's gone through. This is one of the most disturbing scenes in the movie. The demons in the movie (especially the tongueless demon) are terrifying. |
