Hollywood Movies | Drama | Action | War | History
nudity | No visuals unless you count a fully-clothed kissing scene. There are verbal references to the young and beautiful Jewish women being sent around to other camps "for the officers". And the tearful confession of Dov to his rape by The Nazis where he says "they used me like a woman." |
violence | People get shot, but little blood is shown. Dov Landau claims in one scene that The Nazis used him as others would use a woman implying very strongly he was raped by the Nazis. A man is shown hanging with a Star Of David carved in his chest, Not as graphic as it sounds but still disturbing and another woman is shown with blood on her neck area. |
profanity | Very mild profanity; Hells, Damns, etc. |
alcohol | Several characters smoke cigarettes. There is alcohol consumption (wine with dinner); all in moderation. |
frightening | A lot of explosions. Some shooting. A man is shown being executed by hanging. Another man is shown hanged and his chest has been mutilated. There is discussion of the Holocaust by Holocaust survivors. The confession of rape by Dov is very emotional and hard to watch. We do not see any of these actions against him, but are implied very strongly. Suggested MPAA Rating: PG-13 for scenes of strong war violence and a mention of rape. |
