nudity | No sex. In the opening scene, a Renaissance portrait painting of a naked woman can be briefly seen in a rec' room of a sense offender hideout. The shots containing the painting are intermittent, but include a man grabbing the painting and carrying it away. (At 1m 40s, on Netflix streaming services' copy of the movie) In the setting of the final fight, two Baroquesque paintings featuring topless women are present on the walls. |
violence | Lots of bloodless fighting and action violence throughout. Damage sustained by characters from being shot involves no blood spatter or gore. There is an intense fight with swords; many swordsmen are slashed open briefly with fleeting blood spray. A man's face is cut off; we briefly see it slide off his head from the side. Several execution scenes in which unarmed people are shot, including a line of captured offenders shot by automatic weapon firing squad. Also a person walking into an execution chamber in which they are burned (shown just as flames rising in-front of them before the camera cuts). A group of helmeted men are hit with spiked gun hilts, and blood briefly sprays out of one of their faces. Some blood is seen on a man's neck, jacket, and hands after a fight. A bit of blood is around his mouth after he has been punched. One of the black-clad troops executes a pack of dogs found at the site, nothing is shown on screen, only the sounds of gunshots and yelps as the camera focuses on the hero's face. A man swiftly counters a woman's attempt to stab him with a pen, slamming her down onto a table. |
profanity | "Fuck" is exclaimed briefly. (At 51m 40s [Netflix]) "Shit" is exclaimed twice in two different scenes. (At 51m 50s [Netflix], other time unknown) The main character outbursts "damn" or a derivative several times in one scene. (At 57m 20s [Netflix]) |
alcohol | It is worth noting that everyone is forced to take a drug that drains their emotions. |
frightening | Some violent fights, including arms being twisted or snapped. The dog execution scene will upset some animal lovers. |
