The film contains a disturbing, unsettling atmosphere throughout that some viewers may find upsetting or disturbing. There is a sense of unrelenting threat including violent threat to characters in the film, and some of this is sexualised threat to female characters which leads to violence.
There is a scene where a young girl (a child) is chased around by a man as she attempts to escape him. As she does so, she screams as the man takes pleasure in taunting her as he tries to catch her. His attempts at catching her are unsuccessful. The child is also seen witnessing a man perpetrating violence against a woman.
Some of the characters are portrayed as having apparent psychological disorders, and these scenes may be considered intense or upsetting for some viewers. |
