nudity | Note: The number at the beginning of each section refers to how explicit that aspect of the film is on a scale of 1-10. The fraction at the end of the Frightening/Intense Scenes category is the total sum of all the sections out of the highest sum possible (50) and therefore an approximation of how much explicit content of any kind is in the film. Rating: 6 Brief sex scene. The top of the female's buttocks are very briefly visible, breasts briefly shown in the corner...not extremely noticeable. They moan a little bit and he appears to climax. (NOTE: This scene takes place about seven minutes into the movie and lasts about a minute.) A woman asks a man how long he and and her friend had been fu*king |
violence | Rating: 5 A character wakes up alone covered in blood. There is also blood all over the boat. A man hits a character's head against a tomb then throws her in one of the caskets, where she wakes up next to a rotting carcass. A man shoots another man in the shoulder then later hits him a few times hard on that wound. There is some blood around the shot. One character shoots another twice and he dies, with blood show in the area behind where he was shot. Most of the violence is PG-13 stuff. It should be able to be handled even if you have a weak stomach. |
profanity | Rating: 6 The F word is used 11 times in the movie. Other mild language. (About 32 swearing words total) |
alcohol | Rating: 2 Libby talks about being a little drunk on the boat. In the part of the film set in Louisiana, some people smoke and drink in a non-suggestive way. Nick Smokes a cigar |
frightening | Rating: 4 One character wakes up alone on her boat in the middle of the night. She is covered in blood and there is blood ALL over the boat. She goes up to the deck to see a blood covered knife. The same character wakes up alone in a coffin and next to her is a rotted corpse who may be frightening to some viewers. |
