nudity | This is the first mainstream film to have unsimulated sex onscreen. This scene is about halfway in the film. Other than a bare bottom, nothing is shown onscreen. |
violence | Hardly any, other than some pushing around. |
profanity | NOTE: In Swedish, English subtitles. Some; words like "damn," "ass," and "hell" are used. |
alcohol | People drink beer and smoke pot throughout the entire film. There is lots of frank and explicit talk of alcoholism, selling drugs and the like. Some have gotten into trouble with the law numerous times. Some know they're running on borrowed time. |
frightening | This is a documentary that focuses the ups and downs of two teenagers and their friends. They drink, they have sex and they do drugs. This film (and the other two in the series) isn't fun to watch but it's real and honest. The unhappiness - as well as the drug abuse - of the main characters (Kenta and Stoffe) is echoed in the sequel A Decent Life; it can be eerie and depressing to watch the first two films of the series and watch the fate of the two main subjects in the documentary unfold. |
