nudity | Using a futuristic video phone, a woman makes a wrong-number call to John Spartan, and is shown topless for a couple of seconds before she hangs up. Two characters have "virtual sex" by wearing headsets that simulate sexual contact and arousal. Breasts are visible for an instant. When brought out suspended animation, characters are naked. Rear nudity is visible, frontal nudity is blurred out when shown. Several jokes and references to sexual activity and actions. Done in a humors way and not graphic |
violence | Many people are shot and killed throughout with some blood. A man catches on fire after he is shot on a rooftop. One character removes another's eye (off-screen) and sticks it on a pen. Some characters' necks are broken, others are beaten violently. It is reported that many innocent people are killed in an exploding building. An innocent man is thrown through a plate glass window sending him unconcious. The main villian is killed when he is frozen and decapitated by the protagonist swinging round on a crane kicking his head off, we see the villian's frozen head bounce on the floor and then smash into hundreds of tiny red icicles. |
profanity | A running joke through the movie is that cussing is literally illegal, so Spartan purposely uses non-stop graphic language through the film Several sexual references and jokes throughout. Some are graphic, but funny |
alcohol | A distant shot of the main villian snorting cocaine at the start of the film. |
frightening | The theme of government control/tyranny may upset some viewers. |
