nudity | Daniel mentions there was penis envy in life while there is brain envy here at Judgement City. There's the talk about someone not spending the night with another, for various reasons such as getting a STD. A few other sex-related jokes and a couple jokes about body parts. Daniel has a discussion in a restaraunt with a man who says he "made a lot of money selling adult books." There is also some talks about strip clubs in this scene. Daniel & Julia has a somewhat long kissing seen in front of her hotel. |
violence | Daniel is seen as a young child in a flashback sequence being hit by a childhood tormentor. Though there is no blood, the scene may disturb sensitive viewers. He is later seen riding a snow mobile, and crashing, and rolling down a hill. No injuries whatsoever are shown, it is revealed that he broke his leg severely later on. Julia, in a flashback sequence is seen running into a burning house to rescue her, and her children's cat. Though she and her children remain completely unharmed the scene is vaguely intense. |
profanity | The s-word is used three times. Scattered uses of "hell", "damn", and "piss." "Balls" is said once. |
alcohol | Daniel mentions during his first trial that TV is like heroin. Daniel has a sake in a Japanese restaurant. Later on when he and Julia have dinner in an Italian restaraunt it shows them both drinking wine. Daniel makes a brief joke about being "stoned" in college. Very little to worry about here. |
frightening | In a few flashbacks we see some moderately intense scenes like where people are arguing/fighting and another where a kid gets bullied. The aforementioned scenes where Daniel crashes his snowmobile may be intense for some sensitive viewers, as well as the scene where Julia rescues a cat from a burning house. This film should be fine for children 12 and up to view. Children under the age of 12 should see it with a parent. |
