A devastating earthquake has left Los Angeles split in two. The wealthy now live in a new island metropolis, while the poor struggle to survive in the ruins of the old city. Detective Jack has been assigned to investigate the disappearance of a wealthy businessman's daughter somewhere in the ruined zone. While questioning some local punks, Jack and the others are suddenly attacked and kidnapped by a mysterious gang of thugs and taken to a hidden prison compound where they are hunted down by a strange half-man, half-machine killer. Somehow, Jack must find the girl and figure out who's behind this place, but first he must get out alive. (Written by Jean-Marc Rocher )

nudity	There is one sex scene but several scenes of women's bare breasts, mostly used in a sensual nature.
violence	There is a lot of blood shed but not over the top. The killings are often neck-snapping but a few gunshots are used. There is also slicing of a throat but that it is not seen. There are at least two instances of electrocutions and two instances of stabbings by a blade of some sort.
profanity	Profanity wasn't used too much and the F-word is seldom, if at all, used. It's mainly the ba--- and b-- and s-o-b words.
alcohol	I do not recall any of this in the film.
frightening	The idea of being imprisoned against one's will may be intense for some. Kids were put into dangerous situations. A half-man, half-machine uses a chainsaw-like weapon. The deaths may scare some people given their true-to-life nature.
