nudity | There is a testicle examination of both the step dad and the dad where, although nothing is shown, both men and the wife are in an office with the doctor and the dads simply remove their pants (it's not an examination room with gowns). The doctor gives both men specimen cups, but different sizes and refers to the large amount the dad will produce. The step dad is then seen in a room where he turns on a TV and removes his pants. The same fertility doctor later speaks of how the step dad is now fertile. The biological father makes multiple references to the former sex life between him and the mother during the time that they were married. The step father's boss tells several stories about sexual escapades with his ex-wives. The step dad announces in public how he had sex with his wife last night and "pulled out his wiener." |
violence | In the very beginning, a young girl shows the step father drawings in which she depicts him either being murdered or already dead. The step father hits a cheerleader in the face with a basketball. Three men try to teach a young boy how to fight. The boy wears a pillow, hulk gloves, and a helmet, but the older men simply push and pretend to punch each other. Toward the end, a young boy punches another child, a young girl, and kicks her between the legs. The other parents accuse the two fathers of teaching domestic violence in their homes. One father punches the other, but he is hardly bothered. A man at the dance toward the end punches another in the face and the two prepare to fight, but do not. The step father in an attempt to skateboard gets hurt (hits some electrical wire and is assumed to be dead.) |
profanity | Uses of goddamn it, bitch, hell, and others are used. In the very beginning a young girl refers to the step father as a "little bitch" (she gets in trouble for it), and the son says the same thing toward a fourth grader. The parents also cuss in front of the children on occasion. |
alcohol | The two fathers have multiple beers passively in the beginning after frequent promises of "a cold one," and at another instance one father is shown drinking at a bar, but there is no drunken activity, nor is any of this condoned for the most part. A character gets drunk after drinking several beers at a basketball game. |
