nudity | Some teenagers flirting. The word "lust" is said. A man tells his son that he was an "accident". |
violence | The violence in this film isn't too bad by today's standards, but there are several bloody scenes, including children and a man getting hit in the stomachs with arrows, a man whose eardrum ruptures and starts pouring blood in church, and a farm machine spitting out blood and chunks of gore after sucking in a teenager. An old lady is crushed to death under a house. Another old lady's wheelchair is shot through a window after being hit by a moving van. A lot of cheesy Stephen King scenes. |
profanity | Several F-bombs are dropped and many other profane words are used. |
frightening | The news reports in the beginning of the film about the fifty-some bodies in the cornfields, are incredibly morbid. One of the main characters is impaled with an arrow and he dies. One of the other main characters cries and grieves over their loss. A man confronts another man and tells him that "the white people only know how to take from the land". They later become friends, though. This film probably isn't appropriate for younger viewers (see ratings below). |
