nudity | A couple kisses in the moonlight. Two teenagers kiss brief and mildly. |
violence | A few small fist fights. Some viewers may find them to be intense. We see the corpse of a woman lying on the arms of a man. We see it pale white and with swollen eyes. Multiple surfers with blood draining from cuts or through their noses. |
profanity | Not much. Very few uses of "damn" and two uses of "hell". A man calls a teenager "little trash". |
alcohol | Various implications of a teenager in particular buying drugs from gamblers. A man appears to be drunk and attempts to harm two teenagers. A bottle of alcohol in a woman's night-desk. |
frightening | The last 20 minutes of the movie are very tense and exhiliarating. The movie is very bright, but some themes touched in it may appear to be quite harsh. Brenda Hesson's death is very emotional, intense and mentally hard to overcome, since it was all so sudden. A man grieves the death of his wife and destroys a kitchen with a bat. Everything is implied. It is implied that Jay dies in the end. His farewell ceremony is the most emotional scene in the entire film. |
