| nudity | In episode one there are two sex scenes; in the first the man performs oral sex on the woman while still clothed. Then he thrusts into her (still clothed). Later on in the scene they have sex again and are naked. Only the woman's breasts and the man's chest can be seen. Flashbacks of this scene occur in the next episode. The second sex scene occurs in a garden against a tree. The man and the woman are clothed. In episode two, two soldiers go to a small brothel in order for one of the soldiers to lose his virginity. He doesn't go through with it and tells the other soldier to finish what he started, so he goes into the room where a prostitute is lying naked on a bed. Only breasts can be seen. The soldier starts crying before anything happens. |
| violence | In the first episode a man has his torso blown off by a shell. We see him fall from behind and then we see all his organs. Very gory and graphic. Later on in the episode, there is a fight between some German and British soldiers in a tunnel. Soldiers are shot with little blood. One character is shot with quite a lot of blood seen afterwards. In the second episode, a battle occurs. We see a soldier get caught on some barbed wire and then get shot several times in slow motion, with a bloody mist after every bullet penetrates his body. Quite graphic. Later on there is an explosion in a tunnel which results in several characters dying with two survivors. One is seriously injured. (Fairly gory.) |
