nudity | None. |
violence | For a John Wayne Western, this movie is particularly Violent. The opening sequence shows several scenes of men being being brutally shot, a young boy shot, and a woman killed with a machete, though nothing is shown. Blood is seen but their is no gore. Not much more extensive violence until the end, when a man and a dog are killed with a machete (though nothing is shown) and several men are shot. One man is impaled on a pitchfork, although it isn't very graphic. |
profanity | The usual for a Classic Western. Some damns and hells. One SOB . |
alcohol | There is a scene at a bar with a few characters drinking and smoking. This is more of a humorous scene though. |
frightening | The story of the film is that a young boy is kidnapped and his grandfather and uncles are trying to rescue him. This may be frightening for some children as the boy is shown to be in several scenes of peril. Nothing too bad though. |
