nudity | Chloe says, "Down Boy" to another dog who she finds handsome, although nothing is shown- Chloe only gets a quick look at the other dog while he passes her in someone's handbag. Several female members in the cast are shown in bikinis and short dresses, but nothing too bad. One of the chihuahuas in the movie, when talking about finding a mate says, "I like 'em all as long as they aren't fixed," or something along those lines. The song "I'm Too Sexy," plays through a part of the movie. |

frightening | The part where Chloe is about to be attacked by a rotweiller at the dog fights in Mexico may be frightening to younger viewers, even though she never gets hurt, but the dog rips of the dress she had been wearing as she runs away. At the ending scene, when Chloe crashes into a wall trying to save Papi or Delgado (I can't remember) it may be frightening to some viewers. Shortly after she hits the wall she lies down motionless and you might think she has died but she actually was just pretending to be so she could hear what Papi really thought of her. It was pretty comic and cute, and probably only considered frightening until you know she's really alive. When Delgado was having a flashback of how he lost his sense of smell, the scenery is dark and a man is shown lying down on the floor (it is intended that he has died- only a flashback from one of the dog's mind). It may be considered frightening when Delgado is trying to hop onto the moving train and is struggling, but it is actually meant to be comic and not too scary at all. |
