Some of the scenes contain battles between humans and robots against other robots, and result in flying metal, crashing buildings, and scattered debris. It's clear that some of the robots are intent on doing bodily harm and even killing humans, and several people are shown being 'absorbed' by an evil robot, resulting in their deaths.
One of these deaths is that of a pre-teen boy, causing his father to become very sad. He misses his son so much that he creates an android replica of his deceased son, but later disowns him. The resulting feeling of rejection by the android's supposedly own father is quite obvious, and we are made to sympathize with him. These feelings can be disturbingly sad to a young viewer.
