nudity | None. |
violence | None. |
profanity | 3/10 Contains frequent use of mild British profanity. About 20 uses of bloody 1 use of arse Hell, damn, and bugger are also used. The stronger curse "Goddamn" is used at least twice. The name "Christ" is used irreverently |
alcohol | 7/10 Period-appropriate smoking. Which means, much like Mad Men, which is set in the same era, that nearly every adult character is shown smoking. One main character is never seen without a cigarette in his mouth. There is a scene in a pub with drinking and heavy smoking. Several scenes show characters toasting with champagne. One scene shows Hartnell drinking at home and possibly inebriated. However, it is stated that Hartnell's illness is in part due to his smoking too much. No drug use whatsoever. |
frightening | None, though Hartnell's declining health is depicted in a way that may be disturbing. Overall: 10/50. Not too bad. Suitable for any doctor who fan from the age of 7. |
