violence | Moderate violence, apocalyptic theme. There is a sustained apocalyptic nature throughout the movie, which may be disturbing to younger audiences. There isn't any gore in the film, but there is still realistically animated violence taking place between nonhuman characters. One of the characters has his eye taken out. Half of the dolls have the life sucked out of them by some sort of a laser beam. It is shown in full view and then they lay motionless after all the life is sucked out of them. Some of the dolls are stabbed. A man has his soul sucked out of him. A back story of humans going to war agents robots. Robots shoot up people. This is depicted not seen. Robots poisoning the atmosphere and killing all life form (not seen.) |
profanity | None. |
alcohol | Very mild implied drug use. There is one rather amusing scene of a robot doll holding a magnet to his head for his own enjoyment and making groaning noises. It does appear that he is getting "High" off of the magnet, but it is simply implied. |
frightening | There is a robotic snake creature with half of a baby doll's head, with one Terminator-esque eye and scary teeth, that is quite frightening. There are a few dead bodies of humans during the beginning of the film, one of which is a mother holding a baby. No decay or anything graphic is shown, but the implied image is still frightening. The death of 5 is very intense and scary. There are other quite intense scenes of death, again, nothing graphic or gory or even bloody, but the actions itself are kind of scary if you think of the characters as human instead of the sewn-up dolls. Several souls are sucked out of the dolls and many die during intense fighting scenes. Although animated, Young children should not see this because it contains scary imagery and mild jump scenes Rated PG-13 for: Adult Content, Mild Violence.(HBO advisory) |
