The narrative of Christine Chubbuck, a 1970s TV journalist battling with misery and expert dissatisfactions as she tries to propel her vocation.
violence | This film is centered around Christine Chubbuck. For anyone who doesn't know, she was a real reporter who suffered from bouts of depression and shot herself on live television in the 1970's. This film is more or less a fictional biography of her life, and both the suicide and her mental instability are shown on-screen in the film, which may disturb and upset some viewers. The scene were she shoots herself is very violent with blood spraying over the wall, and also very disturbing and hard to watch. |
profanity | Some swearing and sexual innuendo. |
frightening | This film is about Christine Chubbuck who killed her self on live tv. This film shows what happened leading up to the suicide and is very emotionally disturbing and sad. This is not a film to show your kids 16+ |
