SPOILER: Alistair and Miles, both with aristocratic connections, start their first year at Oxford University though they are very different, Miles is down to earth and happy to have a girlfriend from a lower background, Lauren, whilst Alistair is a snob with aspirations to follow his uncle, a Tory MP. The common bond is that both become members of the Riot Club, a long established elite drinking club priding itself on hedonism and the belief that money can buy anything. Having been barred from most establishments in Oxford they have their annual dinner at the function room in a country pub, where their rowdy behaviour angers other patrons though they reimburse Chris, the landlord. They hire a prostitute but she refuses to perform group sex, then one of them rings Lauren, whom they importune to Max's horror. Getting progressively more drunk and ingesting drugs they start to trash the room and when Chris comes to complain Alistair savagely assaults him, landing him in hospital .

nudity	The film opens with a sex scene caught by another man. No nudity is shown. Flashbacks are shown with some topless women; breasts seen very briefly. A woman is shown implied performing oral sex on a young man; nothing seen/unconvincing. references to sex and genitalia. Two young people are lying on a roof and reference to sex is made. Nothing happens. A sex scene is shown, no full-frontal nudity - only but bare backs and buttocks are glimpsed. Some thrusting, and later on the two are seen on a couch implied naked (covered by a blanket) where she begins to jerk him off (too fake). A prostitute is hired, there is reference to her performing oral sex under a table. She arrives but nothing happens. Later on, she arrives and is asked to become their prostitute and a young man offers to pay her £29,000. She rejects the offer and is held against her will and pushed against a wall whilst one kisses her.
violence	Violence throughout. A mugging is shown. A man is threatened at knife point for money. He is later kicked to the ground. A fight breaks out in a pub between the pub owner and the Riot Club. The man is kicked, punched and hit across the head with a piece of wood. It is very intense and everything is shown. He is severely injured but does not die.
profanity	More than 150 uses of Fuck , 50+ uses of "shit", "cunt" is used a few times. Sexual derogatory phrases are used but no racial terms are used. A swear word is present in almost every other sentence.
alcohol	There is drinking and smoking in quite a few scenes, and some with implied / references drug use As part of the initiation ritual applicants are required to drink a glass of wine with a cigarette that has been put out in it. Other initiation tasks include drinking large amounts and other games with drinks (pour wine over themselves in public). The characters are seen in a Bentley drinking, one is soon after sick on the front of the car. At another pub later, they are seen taking shots of vodka. They are constantly being served bottles of wine and it is clear they get through more than 20. Glasses of wine are smashed and more alcohol is drunk. This continues throughout the entire film.
